A Day for Myself





A day which comes every year,

A day on my accords is what I wish every time,

Yet it always happens the other way around.


Starting with a cup of coffee, 

Cappuccino, Frappuccino or Dalgona or even black,

Whatever gives me a company on the morning of September 3,

it should satiate myself,

Sounds selfish but in the end, its my day!

The lover is not a must but if he is the one that wakes me up,

I am up for it!


Either curling up if it's cold or getting drenched whether its rainy,

It would be one of the best days!

Accompanying me on my bed would be a book,

Something that's makes me feel heated,

which guarantees me the adrenaline rush!

Cooking... Yeah! I would love it rather than junk food,

Be it breakfast, lunch or a simple supper!


A day for me to do everything that makes me 'ME'.

Maybe just walk around, cook, read, write and explore!

A kind of detachment from phone and the outer world for one day!

No phone calls, no wishes, no messages, no gifts!

Just You and Me!

If the 'You' is willing to visit me.



A cup of tea would make me smile while I sit on the verandah,

A cup of brownish liquid and along with a special friend of mine!

Yet, his mood swings are unpredictable too.

This evening combo works for me,

For a person who adores nature at its best!

It's the few minutes I don't spend with you on other days!

Not using the common phrase,

But you know it, right?


Ending my day with a simple smile and a prayer,

A constant blush is definite if it happens like these.

Even if not in India,

The window where I stay would suffice. 

A day with me and myself


A day where regret and guilt are out of the picture!

The Girl On The Train

  It starts off like a whisper of sounds telling the reader, or rather reminding the reader to be careful of Rachel. The delusional and alcoholic character stays as a rotten flower who has been caught up in a labyrinth of her own. Cheated by her husband, caught in a web of lies, unable to conceive, divorced by her husband, being a terminated employee, her ex-husband, new wife and their child in their same house were a long list of what she had lost through the last two years. These plethora of reasons made her stomach turn and her fingers itch when alcohol was denied. But some things of her routine didn’t change due to her best friend who was concerned about her.
