Marian College, Kuttikanam (Autonomous) in association with MCSC conducted the Arts day, NAVARASA 2K22. It was one of the magnificent events, celebrated in an elaborate way with music. Even though the climate was unfavourable with swaps of cold wind and drizzles, it didn't pull back the energy and exuberance of the campus. Our main celebrity for this event was Anju Mariam Joseph, an actor and prolific singer. Singing a few songs, our students also joined her before we moved on after the inaugural function. In association with Arts Day, we also had off-stage events which were held at different venues during three days and devoted two days to on-stage events.
Different events like Thiruvathira, Oppana, Margamkali, Western and Eastern Group Song, Elocution, Extempore Speech, Spilt and Dance and Mime. While, off-stage events included essay writing (3 languages), film review, poetry (3 languages), short story writing (3 languages) , oil fainting, face painting, collage. photography etc.
Backstage videos were also captured showing how much each of them practiced and put an effort to win prizes. More than prizes, all of them craved for a chance that MCSC provided in unleashing their inner talents. Students also stayed after class for various practises and decoration services.
The BACE department achieved new feet as they won the second prize for MIME and third prize for EASTERN GROUP SONG and third prize for OPPANA. Even though our department couldn't win more, I couldn't have been more happier since their effort during the strenuous time was appreciated more than winning. In fact, Navarasa was indeed a diversion from their difficult time which provided them enough support.
